When I tell you that The Fresh Produce Mikkey Halsted Beat Battle for June is going to be insane. Mark my words, it's going to be the best battle yet.

In addition to Chuck Inglish of the Cool Kids, me and the Blaxploitation (Rhymefest, Juice, Twone Gabz, Mikkey Halsted) fam will be ripping the stage. The legendary CL Smooth will be in the building performing a few of his classics as well as some of his latest material, including his summer single "Dripped In Champagne".

You know we always bring the best producers in the city to play live at Reggie's, one of the dopest, most exclusive venues in the city.

Mike Flo is one of my Chicago comrades that spits that real militant-conscious material. He is a multi-talented producer, writer, rapper, teacher and all around good brother. It is always great to collaborate with an artist that has a similar vision and brings the best out of you. Flo is definitely someone that brings the best out in me. The track SC provided made it really easy for us to go in and do our thing. Enjoy the video and be on the look out for new projects from Mike Flo including "Turn Off The Radio Sound System", his collaborative project with Stic Man from Dead Prez, and a joint project we will be working on this throughout the summer. Oh yeah remember "I'm the truth.........Sojourner" LOL!

MH "Those That Know....Know" The Dark Room coming Summer 2010.

Producers come with your A-Game and your crowd to the June 17th MH Beat Battle. Below are a few clips that show just how ill it gets on the stage at Reggie's Rock Club when it's time for a Beat 4 Beat competition. The June 17th Beat Battle is going to be the biggest to date. All of the best producers from the previous battles are locked and loaded. Peep the videos below and scroll down to the previous post to get all of the details.

and get discovered is BACK and BIGGER! The June Mikkey Halsted Beat Battle is going to be

NUTS. The talent  level of the producers has been unbelievable. There is no other city that has

diverse producers like the Chi does. With some of the standout producers from previous battles

already signed up for the June battle. We can expect to hear some head nodding hip-hop beats,

crazy samples and some drums with knock. If you've seen Big Wiz and Que Billah host along

with DJ Broadway Streetz and DJ Toure then you know just how live it gets up in

REGGIES ROCK CLUB.

We are going to have a world premiere that only Mikkey Halsted could pull off. He and his group mates Rhymefest, Twone Gabz and Juice are going to perform and premiere a few songs off of the group project they are working on. Producers can submit 3 tracks for consideration for this project by bringing a CD to the producer battle.

"MHBB Submission".  Once you submit your tracks you will be notified if you have been selected to participate. Producers will need to make arrangements to pick up their crew tickets and arrive at the venue at 9:15pm for the producer check-in. The battle will start between 9:30 and 9:45pm. ALL SUBMISSIONS SHOULD BE MP3 FILES.

The first 25 producers to submit 2 dope tracks and buy their (13) crew tickets for $65 will be entered into the battle. You will be contacted to make arrangements on how to pick up your package and given further instructions.   Registered producers can purchase additional crew tickets for $5 (limit 20).

Producer check-in is at 9:15. The Battle starts at 9:30. Tracks play for around 1:00-1:30.

The prize pack for the winner includes the following:

As always, each round is judged by audience response so be sure to bring your crew out.
